Christo: Hey there. In this video tip, I want to share with you how to create a deeper connection with your customers. So as marketers, one thing we are striving to achieve is almost like a human connection with our customer base, so that people feel this connection like a human-to-human relationship, where we love the brand even though it’s a brand, because brands, products and services, they don’t have a personality, but we give them a personality as a marketer. So some things you can do to help kind of build that personality of your brand. A couple of things amplify personality traits. Imagine your brand is a separate entity to you, even if your brand is yourself, like you’re a personal brand as a consultant or something like that. Think of the two traits that you’d like to amplify. For me, I always like to amplify, making complex, simple. So I call it the Mad Scientist. Now, whether that works, that’s what works for me. And the other thing is having fun. So having fun along the way, keeping things light, making it enjoyable, that’s sustainable for me and business. And there’s the two things I like to amplify in my own personal brand and through Basic Bananas as our brand. Some other things your own story can help amplify the personality, the things you’ve been through. You can share your story if you got into business for a reason and now you’re helping others or whatever it is, or you saw a problem in the market; Some good things to list out as well can be what would you do even if no one paid you in your business? And on the flip side, what would you never do no matter how much someone paid you? A good little exercise can also be to do~ ~you roll a piece of paper in half and you say here’s everything we stand for in our brand, and here’s everything we stand against. So a couple of little lists to brainstorm. And this will help you kind of define what you’re all about and just imagine that that brand is separate. Like it’s like a separate entity to you. So anytime it communicates with anyone, it’s got to be that same personality, amplifying those same personality traits, whether it’s you or team members like the big brands we all know and love, like Virgin, for example, there’s always the same tone of voice no matter who’s actually writing the text. So for yourself, doing that to build that human-to-human connection between your brand and your customer base. There you go. That’s the tip for today.
