Franziska: Hi and welcome back! My name is Franziska Iseli and I‘m one of the founders here at Basic Bananas.

I quickly wanted to share with you 4 ways that you can use to gain more credibility in your industry and in your business.

So the first way to do that, of course, is by having testimonials or case studies. Now what‘s the difference between a testimonial and a case study? A testimonial is when people are sharing something about you that is coming from them – so somebody raving about you. A case study is more of an explanation of how you helped someone or a company. So it‘s a bit more in-depth and it can be written by you. So they‘re both a fantastic way to gain more credibility. Of course, you want to have these all throughout your website.

The 2nd way to gain more credibility is to have some publicity. So if you have had some free publicity, if you had some media feature somewhere, it‘s really good to feature that on your website. Also, if you have had a lot of media features, maybe use little logos of each of these publications as a little banner on your website. You can see how we do it on our website.

Then the 3rd way, if you have worked with any big clients, or anyone impressive, any name that maybe you can drop a little bit, then that‘s also a great way to gain credibility. Of course, with all of these 3 things – the media, the testimonials and any big businesses or big names that you can share, it has to be authentic. So, you want to make sure that it‘s real, you don‘t make up stuff because then it‘s a little bit of an integrity question.

Then number 4 is by sharing your insights. So, one other really great way to gain credibility in your market is to share more of your own insights. You can do this, of course, through content marketing – a fancy-pansy word which means sharing good content, so sharing your insights. It can be done via audio, so you can do a podcast maybe, it can be done via a video – what I‘m doing right now, or even written. So depending on what your preferred way is to share your insights – written, audio or video. Then you just pick the one that works for you or you might even hire someone to help you write or film something or record an audio.

So if you would love to gain more credibility in the industry, these are 4 really smart ways to do that. Of course, if you do that, you will gain more exposure which will result in achieving more ripple effects. So the more exposure you get, the more ripple effects you can create. Really, that‘s what it‘s all about. That‘s certainly what we‘re all about here at Basic Bananas. It‘s to always finding ways to create more ripple effect and making a positive impact.
